Igloo Presentation

Alexander Dennis Bus - Igloo Presentation.

Adam has just edited our 360˚ Alexander Dennis Electric Bus movie. Aspect ratio was a crazy 8960 x 1000 - so kinda 9:1. Looked like this on on our edit screen>>

Imagine editing pieces together in that size on your 13" Macbook!

An Igloo immersive space is a bit like stepping inside a giant VR headset – except you can get whole groups inside. We had to combine 2d and 3d elements and constantly consider what it would look like in the round and exactly where the 'sweet spots' are so that viewers can be looking at all the right bits of video all the time. Using audio and leading/trailing video lines to lead the eye to where you wanted people to look was if the utmost important - otherwise you might have a viewer starring at dot on the wall at the back as a vital piece of information was being delivered in the front.

Viewing the playback in an VR headset is also easy to help assess if the visual flow was working and for approvals obviously - or we just sent the client a render of the movie with a 3d curve in it.

We also whacked out a 16: 9 for conventional viewing>>

Adam both edited and created the 3d elements for this piece.
